Objectives:

Review evidence for early relational health as a vital sign for infant and young child health and development and conceptually how to integrate into perinatal practice.

Through video and case vignettes provide opportunities to identify “clinical moments”  for dyadic/relational brief intervention from an infant mental health perspective .

Review “hands-on” strategies during clinical encounters for supporting and nurturing infant mental health that can be implemented in primary care.

  • Discuss how mobile maternity care is planning to help improve access to both maternal care and maternal mental health services in our communities.
