Marijuana Use in Pregnant and Postpartum Patients | Recorded 01/27/2024
Objectives:
- Describe the epidemiology of perinatal marijuana use
- Summarize evidence regarding maternal, obstetric, fetal and childhood effects of marijuana use in pregnancy
- Discuss recommendations regarding the use of marijuana during pregnancy and lactation
Early Relational Health as a Vital Sign: Promoting an Infant Mental Health Perspective in the Context of Perinatal Care | Recorded 04/10/2024
Objectives:
- Review evidence for early relational health as a vital sign for infant and young child health and development and conceptually how to integrate into perinatal practice.
- Through video and case vignettes provide opportunities to identify “clinical moments” for dyadic/relational brief intervention from an infant mental health perspective .
- Review “hands-on” strategies during clinical encounters for supporting and nurturing infant mental health that can be implemented in primary care.
Objectives:
- Describe the data within the Wisconsin Maternal Mortality Review Team (MMRT) report that demonstrated a clear need to focus on substance use and pregnancy as a state.
- Discuss results of the WisPQC initiative focused on care for pregnant and postpartum people with substance use disorder.
- Identify two key areas of continued improvement and opportunity across the state as it related to pregnancy and substance use.
